Terms of Use for Materials under NY EDEN* Copyright

Resources may be freely utilized for educational purposes, as long as they are properly credited (i.e., include all bibliographic and funding information provided on the resource document or implied by means of access through the NY EDEN webpages). Prior permission must be granted in writing by the Chair (or proxy) of the NY EDEN Task Force for use of materials for commercial or other non-educational purposes.

Terms of Use of the NY EDEN* Website

Except where otherwise noted, materials accessed from the NY EDEN website (http://emergencypreparedness.cornell.edu) may be copied and distributed for educational purposes without requiring prior permission.

However, Terms of Use for materials accessed through this website are established by the author/publisher of the particular resource, not by NY EDEN. NY EDEN holds copyright only to the website, and to content authored by the NY EDEN Task Force. The NY EDEN Terms of Use (above) permits resources to be freely utilized for educational purposes (and for other uses by prior permission, on a case-by-case basis), as long as they are properly credited.

It is the responsibility of users to adhere to use restrictions specified by the Terms of Use of the individual, agency, or organization, etc. that published the material. The following list links to copyright notices and Terms of Use of publishers of materials posted on the NY EDEN website. The NY EDEN Task Force and the NY EDEN Web Development Team disclaim any and all responsibility for copyright violations by user groups.

The most typical requirement stipulated by publishers is that materials be properly credited. Thus—especially when copying materials into a different format or using a different logo or letterhead than that of the initial publication—it is imperative to include the bibliographic information provided on the original document (e.g., date and place of publication, author, title, agency or organization, publisher, etc.). When information about the funding source is provided, that information also must be included on any reproductions.

However the NY EDEN Task Force and the NY EDEN Web Development Team disclaim any responsibility for the accuracy of information or advice in these materials, and for their fitness for any particular purpose. Mention of any product by name is with the understanding that neither endorsement of products mentioned nor implied criticism of unnamed products is intended, unless such critique is made explicit.
